I use my camera to evoke my curiosity and explore the world and all
its oddities. My photographs allow me to
weave a story and play dress up with the props that life lends to us. Directing
a great play, where the audience members depart with a degree of emotion
stirred, a smirk on their face, a perplexed stare, or maybe no emotion at
all. The textures of life inspire me to
take a closer look at the small intricacies and composition of an object or
individual. Textures add grit and emotion; shiny hard plastic, worn etched
leather, moist lips, are all small frames of an endless reel. I aspire to press
pause and delve into a moment where the world reacts to the camera, is she unobtrusive
and closed off, or roughish and shrewd…or does she bloom and show you all her
beauties. We take from these moments what we will, I sometimes am silent but
others I let the moment paint in black and white or color. My photographs are
what they are: an endless transformation, an examination and journey among the
stars.
